HONEST WORDS. A LITTLE CARE.

Anonymous message guidelines.

Anonymous messages, your identity and Huxxle’s public Gists.

What we welcome

What to leave out

Be specific about what happened. You can criticise an experience without targeting a person.

Your message starts privately

Your message goes to the named page owner’s private inbox. You don’t need an account, name or email to submit. Your identity is not displayed to the page owner, but details in your own words could identify you.

The service may process technical information briefly for abuse prevention. That information is not part of the message shown to the page owner. Avoid including personal information in the text itself.

You choose whether Huxxle can publish

Huxxle publication off

Leave the optional checkbox unchecked. Your message goes to the page owner, but Huxxle will not publish it in The Gist.

Allow The Gist

Allow Huxxle to publish the original message anonymously in its public Gist directory. The page owner must submit the story and moderation must approve it. Permission does not guarantee publication.

The page owner can read your message regardless of this choice and may copy, screenshot or share what it receives. Huxxle’s publication setting cannot prevent those actions. Please leave out identifying details.

Your words stay yours

Page owners cannot edit your messages or contributions. Share cards and Gist stories use your original words. Leave out personal information before posting.

Publication is a separate choice

Sending a message is not permission to publish it. Agreeing to these guidelines is not permission for Huxxle publication either. That permission is optional and unchecked by default.

A message never appears in The Gist automatically. Every public story needs the right sender permission, a deliberate page-owner decision and moderation.

Joining a public conversation

Contributions to a public Gist appear immediately when you post. The page owner receives them in their inbox with a link to the conversation. They show a thread alias. An alias is not proof of a different person or a verified customer. Details in your words can identify you, so leave out names and personal information.

A signed-in owner of that anonymous page can reply under its name with a Page owner badge. That badge shows page ownership, not external identity verification. Conversations are chronological, with no likes or follows. You can report harmful contributions.

Something feels wrong?

Page owners can report abusive messages from their private inbox. Publication review can reject or remove stories that break these guidelines.

For support or a concern about a public story, email [email protected].
